Wrestling at the next level

The purpose of this camp is to provide wrestlers with the knowledge and instruction needed to become champions in this “the greatest of all sports” wrestling.  Areas that will be focused on include technique, philosophy, training, match preparation and goal setting.  There will be two hours of technique per day, provided by some of the best wrestlers currently wrestling at the collegiate level.  Campers will also be introduced to the different philosophies of wrestling and how they apply to their style of wrestling.  Significant time will also be spent on the development of the finer points of wrestling such as goal setting and match preparation during the forums held at the beginning and end of each session.  It is our goal that the wrestler will come away from this camp with a clear well developed plan to succeed next season.

About the clinicians:  provided by, Central Michigan University

--Brandon Sinnott--Brandon is a graduate assistant for the CMU wrestling program and is a 2X All-American and 3X Mid-American Conference champion. “He will be a great influence on our younger wrestlers.,” said head coach Tom Borrelli.  Sinnott won MAC titles at 174 pounds in 2006,07 &08. He finished 7th at the NCAA Championships in 2007 and 5th in 2008.

--Tyler Grayson-- Tyler is a two-year starter for CMU and has had great success at the college level.  He is a unique wrestler who combines raw power and flawless technique.  His offensive arsenal is second to none.  As a high school wrestler Tyler was a four-year state qualifier, 3X finalist and 2X State Champ going 36-0 as a senior.  He posted a 148-20-career record and was a High School All-American.

--Scotti Sentes--Scotti is a “Funky Pinner” dangerous from all positions; he is long for his weight class and will provide great technique for the taller wrestler.  His lanky body style proved too much for many of his opponents, in 2009, he was the first Chippewa to All-American as a true freshman. In high school Scotti was a Four-time state champion.  He has a career record of 213-3. He finished runner-up in the state at 103 pounds at the varsity level while as an eighth grader. Scotti had three undefeated seasons and to cap off his high school career he won a senior nationals championship in 2008.

--Christian Sinnott—Christian, also in his first season as a graduate assistant at CMU.  Sinnott capped his collegiate career by earning All-America honors at the 2008 NCAA Championships, placing fourth at 184 pounds. He was a 3X national qualifier and 2X Mid-American Conference champion. Sinnott was 101-37 during his collegiate career, including 54-14 over his final two seasons.
